Two boards running perpendicular in grain will serve as breadboards to give the table the proper overall length. In this photo you can see the bark that I removed with a draw knife. The live edge was cleaned up with a card scraper and sand paper.

I custom made tenons out of the same walnut material as the table to ensure the materials were the same throughout.

The tenons are pinned with dowels also made from walnut. An epoxy filler was added to deal with some minor tearout. Then the sanding begins! After working from 40 grit to 240, it is time to begin the finish work.
